✨✨ Back in the Classroom (with More Credentials!)

Hello, Well Taught friends!

If you’ve noticed the lights were dimmed here in our corner of the internet the last two months, you are absolutely right. The blog posts were quiet, the email updates were on a tiny hiatus, and for a few months, I dug deep into the beautiful chaos to finish my learning journey and credentials.

It didn’t sit right with my heart to post vague, lack luster posts simply for the sake of posting. You deserve more than that. You deserve thoughtful pieces that foster love of education and are well written to teach, inspire, and add tools to your teaching arsenal.

Why the step back? Well, I was trading in my keyboard for flashcards and diving head-first into the beautiful, tiring, complex world of the BCBA® exam study marathon .

I have some news that calls for ALL the confetti, ALL the tiny wins, and ALL the glitter we can find: I passed!

I am officially a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and an International Behavior Analyst!

The Hustle Behind the Hiatus

Studying for the BCBA is a monumental commitment. It required me to step away to prioritize the vast depth of behavioral science knowledge (while juggling being a mom & working) so that I could come back to you as an even better, more intentional resource. It was a season of deep focus, late nights, high stress and the application of terminology to the real world (cue the study headaches!).

Every flashcard, every study module, and every practice test was driven by one core goal: to bring the highest quality, most effective, and most heartfelt behavioral science to your classrooms and homes. That’s right, it was all for the love of science and ensuring that our future generations receive the most effective and ethically sound education that they deserve.

What This Means for Well Taught

While it's super spiffy to add 7 (BCBA & IBA)  letters to the end of my email signature it’s also a brand-new credibility for our community.

This does NOT change the core values or the heart behind Well Taught. Our mission, passion and goals remain unchanged.

Everything you already love about our real-talk teaching tips, our focus on creating inclusive, intentional spaces, and our mission to sprinkle a little joy into the hard work of education? Now it's backed by the rigor and depth of a BCBA certification along with the global perspective that an IBA offers.

The hiatus is over, the study cave is closed, and my spirit is recharged and ready.

A huge thank you for sticking with me and Well Taught. It’s time to take all this knowledge and get back to making teaching shine.

I’m so excited to see the magic we can create together in this new chapter. What’s the first burning question you have about Applied Behavior Analysis? Drop a comment below!
